Oakfield homes are situated on the borders of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in picturesque, award winning villages. We have operated as a charity for over thirty years, providing a high standard of care and a homely environment for all who choose to live with us, meeting the needs and care of each individual in order to help them reach their optimum level of independence and happiness. It is fundamental within our homes that the rights of our residents are respected and upheld and, at a time full of changes and potential upheaval, we strive to maintain consistency and stability in their lives. Through this emphasis on consistency, and during a period of gradual integration, we ensure that this time of transition is straightforward and stress-free for every individual whom we welcome into our homes.
Oakfield was founded in 1981 by members of the executive committee of The Three Roses Society - an organisation devoted to the better understanding and welfare of young people in need of special care and to the establishment of new communities to meet their needs. It has been registered with Companies House since 3 May 1981 and with the Charity Commission since 11 September 1981.
