Q: How long have you lived at Oakfield?
A: 33 years

Q: What do you like about living at Oakfield?
A: I enjoy living at Oakfield because I'm encouraged to be as independent as possible but have the support when needed. I also enjoy the fun activities including the live music, disco and the gardening.

Q: What activities do you do at Oakfield?
A: I have been working with The good life project (horticulture centre) since it opened a few years ago, I spend a lot of time over a week helping to grow the vegetables that go to the kitchen for people to eat. I also go to a woodwork and football class every week and attend a forest school which teaches me about bush craft. I like to spend a lot of time outside but also enjoy watching a game of football on the TV.

Q: What do you think of the staff who support you?
A: The staff help me everyday with day to day things. They support me to do as much for myself as possible and encourage me on the days when I need extra help. I have two staff members who work closely with me and support me when out in the community in buying my clothes and washing things.

Q: Do you go on any holidays?
A: Each year I go on a holiday either on my own or with a group of people. Last year I wanted to go to the seaside, so we went to Norfolk with a group of my friends.
