In the run up to Christmas residents on The Good Life Project were very busy making chutney for inclusion in the home made Christmas hampers which were created ready for delivery to the local villagers.
In the pictures above you can see Gary, Nanda, Julie and Simon busy at work slicing, dicing and stirring the produce grown on site before bottling and packing in the hampers. These were individually created by the residents and lovingly put together ready for packing and distribution. The hampers were then hand delivered by the residents much to the delight of the recipients.
It's that time of the year now when the Project is at its busiest planning, potting and planting ready for showing home grown produce at local village events. The highlight in the Project calendar is the OAKFIELD OPEN DAY which focuses on everything "Good Life" where there is always a colourful array of flowers and produce on sale. There is also a BBQ, raffle, musical entertainment and lots of fun. The Open Day normally takes place in May but the actual date is still to be confirmed.
